Huawei has served as the industrial collaborator for the project, driven by its strategic, long-standing interest in enhancing the energy efficiency of mobile networks. The collaboration was framed around Scientific Objectives 1, 3 and 4 — the Hypercell concept and coordinated cell-shutdown mechanisms, AI-based network modelling, and the development of advanced optimisation tools. The partnership centred on scientific development, validation from an industrial perspective, and the evolution of the Hypercell concept, which represents the core scientific outcome of the project.

Throughout the project's execution, Huawei researchers actively participated in developing this research line, helping to steer the resulting solutions towards real-world deployment scenarios.
