MATTEO BERNABE

Dr. Matteo Bernabè (Member, IEEE) is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain. Prior to this role, he was a Ph.D. Researcher at Huawei Technologies France in Paris, in collaboration with the Department of Communication Systems at EURECOM in Sophia Antipolis. He received his Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering, cum laude, from the University of Bologna, Italy. Dr. Matteo Bernabè has dedicated his research to the performance modelling and optimization of cellular networks, with particular emphasis on the integration of cellular connected UAV and 3D network optimization. Currently, his research interests include massive MIMO technologies, cellular connected UAVs, large-scale modelling of both terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks, AI-driven network optimization, traffic prediction, and sustainable and energy-efficient network operation. He has also contributed to the advancement of digital twin frameworks—encompassing both data-driven and hybrid methodologies—for the real-time modelling and optimization of complex wireless systems.
